Cow Crashes Into Car On Busy Hudson Valley Roadway An area driver received a minor injury after striking a cow that was in the roadway in the Hudson Valley. The incident took place around 8:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 28 in Red Hook in Dutchess County. According to the Red Hook Police Department,  officers were dispatched for a car versus cow auto accident on North Broadway. 28-Year-Old Killed In Long Island Crash Updated story: ID Released For 28-Year-Old Killed In Long Island Crash Police are investigating an auto accident in which a 28-year-old motorcyclist was killed on Long Island. The crash took place at 8:50 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 12, in South Hempstead, said Nassau County Police. According to detectives, a 2019 white Acura sedan traveling westbound on Village Avenue was struck by a 2009 Gold Honda motorcycle traveling north on Grand Avenue.  The driver of the Acura, a 28-year-old woman, was uninjured, police said. The accident took place around 8:53 sp.m., Thursday, May 27, on the Babylon Turnpike in Roosevelt. According to detectives, while heading northbound on Babylon Turnpike operating the dirt bike, a 29-year-old man was involved in a collision with another motorist who was heading southbound, said the Nassau County Police. Hit-Run Driver Caught After Striking Patrol Officer In North Bellmore A driver who fled the scene after striking a patrol officer on Long Island has been apprehended, police announced. The officer, while on routine motorcycle patrol for the Nassau County Police Department, was traveling northbound on Bellmore Avenue in North Bellmore at around 8:30 a.m. Saturday, July 6 when he was struck by a Subaru traveling westbound at the intersection of Bellmore Avenue and Alice Avenue, police said.
