A Long Island man wanted by police tried fleeing a traffic stop, injuring a sheriff’s deputy in the process, authorities said. The incident happened in Bohemia on Lincoln Avenue, at around 1:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 28. Suffolk County Sheriff’s officials said the deputy stopped 37-year-old Christopher Brown, of Holbrook, and informed him he was wanted on an arrest warrant out of Amityville. A wanted fugitive who allegedly sexually exploited a child is behind bars after he was busted trying to visit an inmate at a Long Island jail. Gabriel Kantrow, age 32, was arrested outside the Suffolk County jail in Yaphank on Saturday, Feb. 27, according to the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office. Police investigators on Long Island are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a wanted man who has multiple warrants out for his arrest. An alert has been issued by New York State Police investigators on Long Island as they attempt to locate a 26-year-old man who was arrested more than six years ago for allegedly driving while intoxicated and has been wanted since 2018. Akeim Whylie was arrested by New York State Police Troop L in East Meadow and the Nassau County First District Court following his arrest for DWI on Nov. 1, 2014. State Police Issue Alert For Wanted Long Island Man
Police are looking for a man who was arrested for driving while intoxicated four years ago and never showed up to court. The 38-year-old, Kevin S. Clarke, was charged with a DWI on May 15 of 2016, and a bench warrant was issued by the Nassau County First District Court for his arrest on Sept. 16 of that year. Authorities in Newark have issued a warrant for the arrest of a Queens, NY man accused of knocking another man cold during a dispute earlier this month.
