Fake Officer Robs, Grabs Woman On Long Island Roadway: Police A Long Island man impersonating a police officer robbed and attempted to restrain a woman, police reported. The incident occurred on Thursday, June 1 at 9 a.m. in Garden City Park. Alif Chowdhury, aged 33, approached a 44-year-old woman walking on Fourth Street with a badge, claiming he was a police officer. Chowdhury reportedly began yelling at the woman, then grabbed the phone out of her hand and attempted to restrain her. The woman was able to flee the scene and contacted the authorities.
