The incident took place around 12:45 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 30 at the Islip Rifle & Pistol Range at 200 Freeman Ave., said the Suffolk County Police. The range is operated by the Town of Islip. Police said the man accidentally shot himself in the foot and was transported to the hospital for treatment.
