Long Island Man Busted For Driving High On Drugs, Crashing, Police Say A Long Island man was charged with alleged DWAI/drugs and possession of drugs following a single-vehicle crash. The incident took place in Nassau County around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 18 in the area of 7 Newbridge Road in Hicksville. According to Nassau County Police, officers responded to the scene of an auto accident in which Patrick Schlereth, age unknown, of East Meadow, had lost control of his 2022 Subaru Outback when he struck two parked cars causing his vehicle to overturn.
