Here are the unofficial results, according to the Boards of Election in Nassau and Suffolk counties:
Long Beach
Seven Democrats were running for three seats on the Long Beach City Council. The unofficial winners knocked two incumbents off the Nov. 5 ballot line.
Elizabeth Treston led all others with 24 percent of the vote, according to unofficial returns. Ronald Paganini was in second place, with 22 percent of the votes cast. Karen McInnis was expected to land the third Democratic Party ballot line with about 21 percent of unofficial votes counted.
Trailing were incumbent Chumi Diamond, incumbent Anthony P. Eramo, TImothy Kramer and James Mulvaney -- each receiving 10 percent or less of the total vote.
East Hampton
Former town Democratic Party Chairman David Gruber faces East Hampton Town Supervisor Peter Van Scoyoc, also a Democrat, in an Independence Party primary.
In a Democratic Party primary for East Hampton town trustee, nine candidates were unofficially leading in the field of 12: John M. Aldred, Francis J. Bock, Benjamin P. Dollinger, Richard P. Drew II, Tim Garneau, James C. Grimes, Mike Martinsen, Susan McGraw-Keber and Bill Taylor.
Not expected to receive spots on the Nov. 5 Democratic Party ballot line for town trustee, according to unofficial returns, were Dell R. Cullum, Rona S. Klopman and Stephen M. Lester.
For East Hampton town justice, Andrew T. Strong defeated Lisa R. Rana in a Democratic Party primary race.
Southampton
In an Independence Party primary race for Southampton Town Supervisor, Highway Superintendent Alex D. Gregor had a narrow lead over incumbent Democratic Supervisor Jay Schneiderman for the third-party ballot line on Nov. 5.
In an Independence Party primary race for Southampton Receiver of Taxes, Theresa Kiernan led Gordon Herr, with about 70 percent of the unofficial vote total.
Six Democrats ran for five town trustee seats in Southampton including two popular former trustees, Fred Havemeyer and Eric Shultz. Incumbents Bill Pell and Ann Welker and newcomers Andrew Brosnan and David Mayer complete the primary ballot. All but Shultz made the Nov. 5 Democratic ballot line, according to unofficial primary results.
Nassau County Legislator
Carrie Solages easily defeated Monique H. Hardial in the Democratic Party primary for Nassau County legislator in the 3rd District, with 77 percent of unofficial votes counted.
Suffolk County Legislator
Joan Manahan led Joseph McDermott in the Conservative Party primary for Suffolk County legislator in the 11th District. Manahan received about 89 percent of the votes, according to unofficial returns.
