The incident occurred just after 5:30 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 1 in Inwood.
According to detectives, a male victim was working on his vehicle in the parking lot of 83 Doughty Boulevard when he was approached from behind by the male suspect, according to police.
As the victim turned to face the suspect, the suspect pulled a black handgun out from a fanny pack and pointed it at the victim before demanding everything in the victim’s pockets and fled the scene in an unknown direction, according to police.
The suspect is described as being black, approximately5-foot-8, 130 pounds, wearing blue jeans, a green shirt and a black fanny pack around his waist. The victim was not injured and the investigation is ongoing.
