A man entered Apple Bank for Savings, located at 151 East Sunrise Highway, at 4:05 p.m. Friday, May 24 and approached the teller and presented a note demanding cash, police said.
The teller complied with the demand and gave him cash from the drawer before the man fled on foot southbound on North Indiana Avenue, according to police.
The man was described as white, between 30 and 40 years old, approximately 5-foot-10 with a medium build and thick brown beard. He was wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, baseball cap and sunglasses.
The investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone with information on this robbery to call the Major Case Unit at 631-852-6555 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
