Sheriff’s Deputies arrested West Islip resident Raymond Pond, 50, on Monday, Oct. 21, when he showed up at the facility’s Deputy Booth on foot and stated: “I want to turn myself in.”

According to the Sheriff’s Office, a warrant was issued for Pond’s arrest out of Amityville Village Court for resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. The warrant was confirmed based on a computer check of DMV records.

Pond was taken into custody and scheduled to appear back in court this week to respond to the charges.
