Police Search For Leads After Shelter Island Criminal Mischief Incident Causes $66K In Damage

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and the Shelter Island Police Department are working with the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office to identify possible leads after a criminal mischief incident in Shelter Island caused approximately $66,000 in damages last year.

Police say more than an acre of trees and vegetation in Shelter Island was damaged between January 7 and January 8, 2018.

The damages are estimated at $66,000, according to police.
