LI Woman Uses Golf Club To Break Windows, Attacks Homeowner During Burglary, Police Say

A 27-year-old Long Island woman was nabbed by police for allegedly using a golf club to break windows at a home and before attacking the homeowner when confronted.

Taylor Johnson, of Massapequa Park, was arrested around 4 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 5, at the home on Sunrise Street in Plainview, said the Nassau County Police.

According to detectives, Johnson allegedly used a golf club to break windows to a residence on Sunrise Street. When confronted by the homeowner, she hit the 52-year-old male victim in the head with the club, causing an abrasion, pain, and swelling.

When police arrived, Johnson was taken into custody without incident. 

The victim was treated for his injuries at the scene.

Johnson was charged with attempted burglary, assault, criminal possession of a weapon and assault.

She is scheduled to be arraigned on Monday, Jan. 6, in Hempstead.
