Nassau County Police say the discovery was made around 9 a.m.on Tuesday, July 20 on the Meadowbrook Parkway in Uniondale.
According to detectives, the skeletal remains of a human body were located in a wooded area on the west side of the parkway.
The investigation is ongoing.
