Miller Place Man Driving Drunk Causes Crash In Hauppauge, Police Say
A man has been accused of driving drunk after a crash causing severe injuries during the height of the evening commute on Long Island. The crash happened around 5:15 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19, in Hauppauge. Miller Place resident John Whaley, age 52, was driving a 2021 Nissan Kicks southbound on Veterans Memorial Highway., according to Suffolk County Police. New update: A Long Island girl who went missing has been located. Vianna Dettling had reported missing by a family member after she was last seen getting into a white sedan in front of her home in Smithtown at approximately 3:10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19. Hit-Run Driver Sought After Injuring Woman Walking In Brookhaven
Police are investigating a hit-and-run crash that injured a woman on Long Island. The incident happened in the Brookhaven hamlet of Sound Beach, on Sound Beach Boulevard, at around 10 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12. Suffolk County Police said a Toyota Corolla was driving on South Beach Boulevard when it struck a 55-year-old woman and fled the scene. Authorities did not elaborate on the victim’s condition. Alert Issued For Missing 15-Year-Old Girl From Long Island
Police are investigating the disappearance of a 15-year-old girl on Long Island. Nathalie Sevilla was last seen leaving her North Lawrence residence at around 8 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17.
