New York State Police responded to a report of an unresponsive man lying in the roadway on Old Point Road at the Shinnecock Indian Reservation at about 9:50 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 5, according to Suffolk County Crime Stoppers.

Authorities said Ali Wisdom, of Sag Harbor, had been shot. 

He was taken to a hospital, where he died a short time later, Crime Stoppers said.

Authorities said Wisdom was not a member of the Shinnecock Nation.
