Two women have been charged with prostitution, criminal nuisance, and unauthorized practice of a profession following a raid at a Smithtown massage parlor, Suffolk County Police announced.
The investigation into Yan Yang Spa, located at 172 Terry Road, began after numerous community complaints, police said in a release on Thursday, Jan. 9.
Suffolk County Police Fourth Precinct Crime Section officers and Fourth Squad detectives, alongside the Town of Smithtown Fire Marshal, executed the raid at 4:35 p.m.

Authorities have identified a man who police say was killed by a hit-and-run driver on Long Island on New Year's Day.
Kevin Lawry, 38, of Plainview, was identified as the victim struck by 39-year-old Veronica Marmol, of College Point, Queens, heading east in a Jeep Wrangler at Old Country Road and Floral Avenue, just before 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 1, as previously reported by Daily Voice.
