Violence Erupts In Capital District: Shootings Kill 14-Year-Old In Troy, Injure 6 In Albany A 14-year-old boy just days away from starting high school is dead following a weekend of gun violence in the Capital District that left six others injured. Calls began flooding into 911 at around 11:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, with reports of a shooting in Troy, near 6th Avenue and 103rd Street. When officers arrived, they found the teen suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, police said. He was taken to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
