Albany Police Seize Cocaine, Heroin, And Hallucinogens In Madison Avenue Drug Bust Three Albany residents are facing felony charges after detectives recovered cocaine, heroin, and hallucinogens during a search warrant execution on Madison Avenue, police report. Detectives from the Albany Police Department’s Community Response Unit executed a search warrant on Thursday, Dec. 19, around 2 p.m., at a residence on the 800 block of Madison Avenue near Quail Street.  The operation, part of an ongoing investigation, led to the recovery of powdered cocaine, heroin, hallucinogens, and drug paraphernalia, said Albany Police Public Information Officer Megan Craft. Gunman Pleads Guilty In Shooting Death Of Security Guard, Father Of 2 In Capital Region More than a year after a 35-year-old security guard was fatally shot in the region, his killer has admitted responsibility. Albany County resident Sean Pacheco, age 40, of Watervliet, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the death of John Welcome in Albany County Court on Monday, Dec. 5.
