A trapped victim was extricated and rushed to a nearby hospital following a fiery two-car crash in Morris County, authorities said. The Mountain Lakes Volunteer Fire Dept. responded to the crash — which was initially reported as a car fire — at the intersection of Boulevard and Route 46 around 7:40 p.m. on Tuesday, June 14, the squad said. Upon arrival, the department confirmed a two-car crash with entrapment and worked quickly to rescue the trapped victim. 3-Car Crash Causes Fluid Leak On Route 46
A three-car crash caused a fluid leak on Route 46 Tuesday morning, authorities said. The vehicles collided and began leaking fluid near Route 46 and Boulevard in Mountain Lakes just after 7:35 a.m., the local volunteer fire department said. Crew members worked to absorb the leaking fluids and requested a towing company to the scene, which was cleared in about 25 minutes. “Thankfully no injuries or entrapment were reported,” the department said. SUV Struck During Crash Slams Into Morris County Home
A car crashed into a parked SUV and caused it to slam into a Morris County home Thursday afternoon, authorities said. Emergency crews responding to the crash near Morris Avenue and Crane Road in Mountain Lakes found the SUV pushed into the home’s garage just after 3:20 p.m., the local volunteer fire department said. Further investigation found that a moving vehicle had hit the parked vehicle and pushed it forward into the garage, the department said. 18 Parsippany Hills High School Students, Staff Members Treated In Pepper Spray Incident
A student who sprayed pepper spray inside a Parsippany Hills High School classroom caused breathing problems for 18 students and faculty members, police said. A faculty member pulled the fire alarm in response to several people reporting breathing problems around 10 a.m. Thursday morning, Parsippany Police Chief Andrew Miller said. Teen, Sibling Escape Parsippany House Fire
A teenager and a a younger sibling called 911 after a fire broke out at their Parsippany home, ultimately displacing the family, authorities said. The two were on the second floor of the Allentown Road home when they smelled smoke just before fire alarms went off around 5:40 p.m. Thursday, Parsippany police said. 330-Gallon Acid Spill Sends Sewer Plant Worker, Police Officer To Hospital
A Parsippany sewer plant worker and responding police officer were hospitalized following a chemical spill Thursday, authorities said. Peroxyacetic acid -- which is highly corrosive -- leaked from a faulty valve on a 330-gallon storage container at the Edwards Road facility around 2 p.m., Parsippany Police Sgt. Brian Conover said.
