UPDATE: A 76-year-old man who lived alone was killed in a ferocious overnight fire that ravaged his East Orange, authorities confirmed. The body of Albert Prince was found on the first floor of the Hawthorne Avenue home off Winthrop Terrace around 2:15 a.m. Monday, April 11, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Support is on the rise for a family who lost all of their possessions in a devastating Lehigh Valley house fire. A motorist driving on Route 208 alerted responders to a house fire in Fair Lawn, authorities said. Firefighters overcame cluttered conditions to douse an overnight house blaze in Dumont, responders said. The Richard Drive family and their pets weren't home when the fire broke out in a second-floor rear bedroom before dawn Friday, March 11, they said. Firefighters knocked it down within 20 minutes.
