Firefighter Falls Through Floor While Dousing Morris County Residential Blaze A firefighter fell through the floor while dousing a stubborn house fire in Morris County Monday evening, authorities said. The blaze broke out just after 6 p.m. at a home on Sandshore Road in Budd Lake, the Hackettstown Fire Department said. Several surrounding fire companies responded to a mayday transmitted for a fireman who fell through the floor and into the basement, authorities said. Police: Morris County Man, 28, Found With Meth After Car Chase, Crash, Two Foot Pursuits A Morris County man with meth sped away from officers during a traffic stop, initiating a high-speed pursuit that ended with a crash and not one but two foot chases, police said. Michael A. Liska, Jr., 28, sped off while officers tried to stop him for driving without a seatbelt and having a broken brake light near the Budd Lake Diner around 1:35 p.m. Saturday, Mount Olive Police said.
