NJ Drug Dealer Found With Ammo, Heroin Sentenced For Raping Child, Prosecutor Says
A 32-year-old Jefferson Township man was sentenced to 23 years in prison on Friday, May 31, after pleading guilty to raping a child, authorities said.
Police initially began investigating Michael Figueroa for drugs, Morris County Prosecutor Robert Carroll, Morris County Chief of Detectives Robert McNally, and Jefferson Township Police Chief Paul Castimore said.

Mario Solorzano Jr., of Jefferson Township, died unexpectedly on Nov. 16 at home, surrounded by his loved ones, according to his obituary.

A Morris County man recently arrested on drug distribution and weapons charges has been accused of sexually assaulting a child over the course of two years and producing child pornography.

A jury has found a former Newark police officer guilty of murder in the 2019 shooting of his estranged wife and the attempted murder of her partner in Morris County following an eight-day trial, authorities announced.
John Formisano, 52, was found guilty of first-degree murder, first-degree attempted murder, hindering apprehension or prosecution, official misconduct, and two counts each of child endangerment and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Jefferson PD: Duo With Warrants Busted With Heroin
A Lake Hopatcong man and a Paterson woman both with arrest warrants were charged after they were found with heroin in a traffic stop, authorities said.
David Wenegrat, 51, was pulled over for speeding on Route 15 North in Jefferson Township Feb. 21, authorities said.
During the stop, officers discovered that Wenegrat had two warrants out of West Orange, township police said.
The passenger, Sarah Mahmoud, 37, was subsequently found to be in possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia and also had two warrants out of West Orange, authorities said.
