Elizabeth Woman Busted For DWI Attempting To Leave Bar: Mt Olive PD A 37-year-old Elizabeth woman was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated on the early morning of Sunday, Dec. 8, as she attempted to leave a bar in Budd Lake At 1:08 a.m., officers observed a Honda SUV back into a parked vehicle in the parking lot of Lakeview Bar and Grill, Mount Olive police said. The vehicle was stopped as it was attempted to leave the lot and officers made contact with the driver, Fiorella Velarde, police said. Padiddle: Route 17 Stop Produces Gun, Ammo, Rochelle Park PD Says A Rochelle Park police officer found a handgun after stopping a car driven by an ex-con from Newark on Route 17, authorities said Friday. Officer Chris Kiszka stopped the gray Infiniti for having a headlight out -- commonly known as a "padiddle" -- among other infractions, shortly after 10 p.m. Thursday, Lt. James DePreta said. Kiszka immediately detected the odor of pot in the car, then spotted what was a loaded, high-capacity 9mm magazine on the floor, DePreta said. Police: DWI Morris County Man Crashes On Route 206, Gives Officers Fake Name, License A Morris County man was drunk when he crashed into another vehicle on Route 206 and gave police a fake name to avoid being identified, authorities charged. Eusebio I. Cordova, 43, crashed near Route 206 and Main Street in Flanders around 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Mount Olive police said. During questioning, Cordova, of Netcong, showed signs of intoxication and subsequently failed field sobriety tests, police said.
