Queens Man Gets 15 Years For Fatally Shooting Jersey City Teen: Prosecutor
A 20-year-old Queens resident was sentenced to 15 years in prison in the fatal shooting of a 15-year-old Jersey City boy in 2022. In February 2022, Jersey City police responded to 112 Myrtle Ave. and found Devin Bryant, suffering from a gunshot wound, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. He was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital that evening, Suarez said. Justin Goris was 17 at the time he fatally shot Bryant and was charged as a juvenile before being tried as an adult, Suarez said. He pleaded guilty to aggravated manslaughter in July, Suarez said.

A 37-year-old Queens man already charged with kidnapping and sexual assault a victim in Englewood is facing new charges of sexually assaulting a child, authorities said. Miguel A. Charles Newcomer was last seen on Thursday, Oct. 24, at 6:30 p.m., when he left from visiting his wife at the Brookdale assisted living facility in West Orange, police said. Witerson Vil, a 15-year-old teenage boy, has not been seen since he left his Linden home on Thursday, Aug. 10, following an argument with his family, police said. Vil was last seen wearing a plain gray t-shirt, black Nike shorts, and dark blue Crocs, police said. He has a noticeable scar on his forehead and has been seen in Harlem and Queens, police said. A Nassau County man was arrested after a security X-ray machine at LaGuardia Airport pointed TSA agents to a gun in his carry-on bag, authorities said.
