Fired Wayne Officer Claiming Retaliation, Sexual Harassment Seeks Reinstatement
A former Wayne police officer said she was fired for filing a sexual harassment lawsuit. Now, she wants her job back. In her most recent lawsuit filed in Passaic County Superior Court Friday, Aug. 2, Christie Ohlendorf is seeking to have her job restored. Ahmed Naga, the Long Hill Township Police Chief who recently filed a notice of intent to sue the town due to alleged workplace discrimination and racism, has been put on administrative leave just days after a private investigator unearthed and submitted evidence of a committee member making racist remarks, NJ.com reports. 'I Did What I Had To Do,' Says Newark Officer Charged In Fatal Shooting
The Newark police officer indicted for fatally shooting a fleeing criminal suspect in January told News 4 New York Tuesday that he believed his actions "saved lives that day." In the interview, Jovanny Crespo said he had to make "split-second decisions" and that he "could have been dead." Crespo and his partner, who was driving, joined in the pursuit in Newark after two men believed to be armed fled a traffic stop.
