Crashes Closes All Lanes In Jersey City: Njdot A crash  snarled traffic in Jersey City on the afternoon of Monday, Dec. 30, authorities said. The crash occurred between a pickup truck and a motorcycle Grove Street and 14th Street at 10:40 a.m.,  Port Authority police said. The motorcycle operator was hospitalized, PAPD said.  There were no other injuries reported, PAPD said. The crash forced all lanes to be closed, the New Jersey Department of Transportation said.  PAPD is investigating.

At 5:43 a.m., officers responded to the car crash where they found a Chevy Avalanche had overturned, Washington Township police said. A preliminary investigation revealed the Chevy was traveling southbound on Route 31 north when it left the roadway, striking the guardrail and bridge abutment before rolling over into a ditch, police said.
