Newark Police Looking For Driver That Struck Pedestrian, Fled Scene (

A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene on Thursday, Nov. 2, Newark police said. At 8:10 a.m., police responded to Muhammad Ali Avenue and Livingston Street where a person was hit by a maroon 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan while crossing the street with family members, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé said. The vehicle had New Jersey registration Z59LLR, Fragé said. After striking the victim, the vehicle continued driving toward Irvine Turner Boulevard, Fragé said. Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call 1-877-695-8477.

Woman Sought In Newark Shooting Investigation: Police
Newark authorities have questions, and they believe Marie Hawkins-Wilson has answers. The 36-year-old is sought for questioning in connection with a non-fatal shooting on Friday, Jan. 13, said Public Safety Director Frtiz G. Fragé in a statement. Police were called to the 100 block of Livingston Street just after 11:30 p.m. for reports of shots fired, officials said. Recognize this car? Authorities are seeking clues on the driver who allegedly assaulted another driver with mace during a heated road rage incident. The driver of the vehicle pictured above is accused of spraying mace at another driver during a quarrel on Springfield Avenue near Livingston Street on Monday, June 27, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said in a Wednesday, August 3 release. Newark Officer Struck By Mercedes SUV Stolen Out Of Elizabeth
A Newark police officer was hospitalized after being struck by a stolen vehicle Tuesday night. The officer noticed a Mercedes Benz SUV stolen out of Elizabeth on Quitman Street near Spruce Street around 11 p.m., Public Safety Director Brian O’Hara said. The driver noticed the police presence, pulled off and hit the officer, O'Hara said. The injured officer was taken to University Hospital for treatment and was in stable condition as of Wednesday.
