Glen Rock firefighters were assisted by their colleagues from Hawthorne on Harristown Road, across from the Alexander Hamilton Elementary School near Maple Avenue and northbound Route 208, around 11 p.m. June 25. The heroes got the Chevy Trax stabilized, then carefully and safely freed the 22-year-old Wayne driver. Overnight Deck Fire Ravages Wyckoff Home Fire ravaged a Wyckoff home before dawn Friday. Firefighters responding to a CO alarm found roaring flames and heavy smoke at the Lakeview Drive home near the Rambaut and Maple lakes at 3:40 a.m. June 23. The destructive two-alarmer apparently ignited on a rear deck and extended to the 2½-story home. It was declared under control in well under an hour, with no injuries reported. Mutual aid responders reportedly included firefighters from Allendale, Fair Lawn, Franklin Lakes, Hawthorne, Ho-Ho-Kus, Mahwah, Midland Park, North Haledon, Oakland, Ramsey, Ridgewood, Saddle River and Waldwick.
