Man Riding Scooter Broke Into Newark Dunkin': Police A man riding a scooter is at large after he broke into a Dunkin in Newark on Saturday, Sept. 7, authorities said. At 3:23 a.m., the man arrived at Dunkin at 794 Franklin Ave. on a scooter, and then used an object to break in, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said.  Once inside, the suspect also used an object to break into an office where he stole approximately $3,500.00 in cash before fleeing on the scooter heading northbound on North 6th Street, Fragé said. A 72-year-old man was walking to his car after leaving the location on Springfield Avenue in Maplewood when he was approached by a man who demanded his keys around 4:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 11, police said. Human Remains Found By Njdot Worker Mowing Grass On Rt. 80, State Police Say (Update) Human remains were found by a transportation department worker on Route 80, state police confirmed. The NJDOT worker was mowing the grass when the remains were found near the eastbound lanes on the right shoulder in the grass at milepost 16.6 in Allamuchy shortly after 12:25 p.m. on Thursday, August 18, NJSP Trooper Charles Marchan told DailyVoice.com. The remains were identified as those of a Black male, Marchan said. The cause of death is unknown. The incident is under investigation. Additional details were not released.
