US Marshals captured a 31-year-old Newark man accused of killing a woman and wounding two other people in a shooting in Jersey City last February, authorities said Tuesday, June 21. Jimmy B. Jersey City Man Sentenced To Life For 2016 Slaying
A 28-year-old Jersey City man who was found guilty of murder after just 90 minutes of jury deliberation was sentenced Friday to life in prison for the crime, the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office said. David Cooper shot Ahmin Colclough, 20, in the back of the neck on Sept. 19, 2016. Colclough, also of Jersey City, was killed. Cooper was later found guilty of the murder as well as two weapons offenses, for which he was sentenced Friday to seven years apiece. Those sentences will run concurrent to the life sentence.
