A Paramus mechanic who works for a Passaic trucking company was charged with statutory rape after authorities said they discovered he was having sex with a girl in her mid teens. Winston Santos, 37, was charged with four counts of first-degree aggravated sexual assault of a victim between 13 and 16 years old, as well as aggravated criminal sexual contact and endangerment through sexual conduct. Wallington Grocer From Garfield Charged With Sexually Assaulting Pre-Teen
A Wallington grocer sexually assaulted a juvenile several times in Garfield, authorities charged. Pedro Perez, 30, of Garfield was arrested Thursday after city police received information and alerted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Special Victims Unit. He was charged with first-degree aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault and child endangerment and remained held Friday in the Bergen County Jail pending a first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack. A 64-year-old Guttenberg man was found guilty of sexually assaulting two girls for years starting when both were younger than seven years old, the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office said in a statement. A former Jersey City charter school teacher who admitted having sex with an eighth-grade girl at what was then her Lyndhurst home must serve at least four years and three months in state prison before she’ll be eligible for parole.
