Around 5 p.m., Jersey City police responded to Garfield Avenue and Brown Place and found Kashyne Grant with a gunshot wound to the upper body, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said.
Grant was transported to Jersey City Medical Center for treatment, where he was pronounced dead on Monday, October 14, Suarez said.
The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and the Jersey City Police Department are investigating and no arrests have been made, Suarez said. Anyone with information is asked to contact 201-915-1345 or to leave an anonymous tip here.
