Judge Rules DC Mayor's Covid-19 Vaccine Mandate For District Employees Unlawful D.C. Superior Court Judge Maurice Ross ruled that Mayor Muriel Bowser's COVID-19 Mandate was unlawful, officials said. The mandate requiring district employees to be vaccinated against COVID-19 is illegal, according to Ross. Judge Ross said that any loss of benefits, rights, or wages, related to the unethical mandate, should be appropriately expunged, according to the D.C. Police Union.

All Clear: Police, Feds Investigate New Bomb Threat At Howard University Howard University in D.C. received another bomb threat on Friday, August 26, officials said. At around 2:30 a.m., the school community was alerted about the threat that targeted the East and West towers, according to the Howard University Department of Public Safety. This threat came to school after another recent threat was made directed at Cook Hall, a freshman dormitory, authorities said. DC Police Offer 25K Reward For Suspect Information In Fatal Shooting Of 21-Year-Old D.C. police are offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information on a recent homicide, officials said.At around 8:15 p.m. on August 25, police responded to the scene in the 800 block of 7th Street and found 21-year-old Juwaan Henry suffering from gunshot wounds, according to the Metropolitan Police Department. Henry was taken to a hospital and despite all efforts, he succumbed to his injuries, police said. Anyone with information on the incident or the suspect's identity could be eligible for the reward and should contact law enforcement at 202-727-9099.

Armed Robbery Trio From Virginia Beach In Police Custody A group of three men were arrested for robbing a victim while armed, Virginia Beach police said.At around 7 p.m. on August 24, officers responded to the scene in the 3600 block of Chase Court, where a victim was robbed while sitting in their vehicle, according to the Virginia Beach Police Department. Fairfax County Police ID, Arrest Suspect Who Assaulted Juvenile At Knifepoint Fairfax County police arrested a 22-year-old who assaulted a victim and scared a group of juveniles, officials said.At around 4:20 p.m. on August 25, law enforcement responded to the 5000 block of Caryn Court where a group of young people were playing outside of an apartment, according to the Fairfax County Police Department. Kidnapping Scare: Stafford Police Respond To Fake Extortion Threats Stafford police investigated a fake extortion threat about a child in a local school, officials said.At around 1:15 p.m. on August 24, officials responded to Anne Moncure Elementary School after they received a call about of a kidnapped child, according to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office. Police ID Woman Killed, Murder Suspect In DC Stabbing A 45-year-old from D.C. was arrested on Thursday, August 25, for the murder of another D.C. resident, officials said. On August 14, just before 10 p.m., police responded to the scene in the 3900 block of 4th Street and discovered a female victim suffering from stab wounds inside a home, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.
