A 25-year-old electric bicyclist was struck and killed by a motor vehicle in East Brunswick, authorities said. The crash occurred at about 2 a.m. on Thursday, July 25 at the intersection of Highway 18 North and South Woodland Avenue, East Brunswick police said. Fundraiser Launched After Rahway Motorcyclist, 32, Killed In Clark Crash
A 32-year-old Rahway man was killed after his motorcycle was struck by a vehicle in Clark Township on Tuesday, July 16, authorities said. At 7:55 p.m., Justin Almenas was riding his motorcycle westbound on Madison Hill Road, when it collided with a Honda Accord that was making a left turn from Adams Street, Clark Township police said in a release. Almenas was taken to University Hospital in Newark, where he was pronounced dead, police said. Five people were injured in a three-car crash on the Garden State Parkway in Central Jersey, authorities said. New Jersey State troopers responded to a crash on Sunday, July 14 at 4:40 p.m. on the parkway southbound at milepost 126.5 in Sayreville, according to Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron, a State Police spokesman. A total of five passengers sustained minor injuries and were transported to an area hospital, Lebron said. The crash remains under investigation and there is no additional information available at this time.

A 64-year-old New Milford man was seriously injured when he was struck by a commuter bus shortly before dawn Wednesday, authorities confirmed. Police ID Pedestrian Struck, Killed After Climbing Over Route 9 Barrier In Central Jersey
Sayreville police have identified the 49-year-old pedestrian killed when he was struck by a vehicle after climbing over a concrete barrier on Route 9. Scott Munk, of Hamburg, NY, was struck at about 12:40 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 22 in the 900 block of Route 9 North as he tried to cross the highway, according to Sayreville Police Lt. James Novak. Munk had jumped the barrier and was struck by a passing vehicle, Novak said. The driver remained at the scene and has not been charged, the lieutenant said on Wednesday, Jan. 24. The crash remains under investigation.

Police have identified a 44-year-old bicyclist from Union County killed in a weekend crash in Middlesex Borough, authorities said. Darwin O. Mestanza Rivera, of Scotch Plains, died in the crash at 6:57 a.m. on Saturday, July 29, Middlesex Borough Police Chief Matthew P. Geist said. Two people were injured after an ambulance overturned at the Essex County Toll Plaza Thursday morning, June 1 on the Garden State Parkway, state police said. The crash happened at 9:06 a.m. after the ambulance struck the toll plaza, Philip Curry, a public information officer for the New Jersey State Police said. The two occupants sustained minor injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital, Curry said. Toll lanes 8, 9, 10 and 11 remain closed as police continue to investigate the crash, Curry said.
