Passaic Sheriff: Detectives Bust Duo With Heroin, Hundreds Of Pills For Paterson Street Sale
Two men were busted by Passaic County sheriff's detectives with a variety of street and prescription drugs for sale following complaints from neighborhood residents and business owners, authorities said.
The Bureau of Narcotics investigators watched as Darrel Battle, 50, and Corrie Brown, 27, slung drugs from a black Hyundai sedan outside Battle's Main Street apartment Thursday, Aug. 24, Passaic County Sheriff Richard Berdnick said.
The detectives arrested Battle and Brown, searched both, then searched the car, the sheriff said.

Three lotto players in North Jersey won some massive moolah in the Mega Millions drawing held on Tuesday, August 22.
Two tickets sold in Passaic County and a ticket sold in Bergen County matched four of the white balls and the Golden Mega Ball, winning $10,000. Two of the tickets were purchased with the Megaplier option, multiplying the prize to $20,000.
The tickets were sold at Jackpocket in Hewitt and at Shop Rite in Emerson The winning numbers were: 01, 12, 26, 36, and 50. The Gold Mega Ball was 07, and the Megaplier Multiplier was 02.

The tickets were sold at Krauser's Food Store in Bloomfield, Shoprite of Bayonne and Quick Stop in Clifton. The ticket sold at Krauser's was purchased with a Power Play option multiplying the prize to $100,000.

A repeat-offending ex-con who tried to become something of a jailhouse lawyer was caught in the act of burglarizing vehicles in Wayne after a woman he was with spilled the beans, authorities said.
Responding to multiple calls, Sgt. Mark CIavirella found a 2014 Chevy Traverse occupied by Melissa Ashmead, 42, of North Brunswick, in the area of New Street where the complaints originated, Capt. Dan Daly said.
