A Lodi career criminal with a rap sheet more than 15 years long was arrested after burglarizing a Prospect Park takeout restaurant before dawn Saturday, authorities said. Ryan Patrick Morgan, 34, has been arrested dozens of times in North Jersey since his 18th birthday, records show. Mercer County Man, 30, Admits Guilt In Fatal Applebee's Shooting, Faces 7-Year Prison Sentence
A 30-year-old Mercer County man has admitted that he fatally shot a man in the head at an Applebee's restaurant as part of a plea deal. Noel Powell III pleaded guilty on Wednesday to second-degree manslaughter, an act committed in the heat of passion with reasonable provocation, before Superior Court Judge Darlene Pereksta. The plea agreement calls for Powell to serve 85% of the seven years - 5 years and 11 months - before he’s eligible for parole. Authorities: South Jersey Man Charged With Brutally Killing His 30-Year-Old Wife With A Hammer
A 36-year-old man from Atlantic County has been charged in the brutal slaying of his wife, authorities said. Rachel Declementi, 30, was found unconscious, bleeding from her head and face, they said. Brigantine police received a 9-1-1 call at 4:27 a.m. on Saturday from 17 Girard Place, Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon G. Tyner said. Robert Declementi was arrested and charged with first-degree murder, Tyner said.
