Olga R. Mullins, 97, Former Yonkers Resident, Retired Genung’s Employee

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - Olga R. Mullins of Poughkeepsie, and previously of Yonkers, died Sunday, Jan. 5. She was 97.

Mullins was born Sept. 28, 1916, in Yonkers; daughter of Vincent and Mary D'Amato. She had attended Yonkers High School and was a member of St. Eugene's Church in Yonkers, as well as membership for senior citizens at the Rauso Post in Yonkers. She had worked as a sales clerk for Wannamaker's, as well as working as an assistant manager at Genung's in Yonkers, retiring in 2010.

Mullins is survived by her daughter, Patricia DiLonardo of Poughkeepsie; step-sister, Victoria Turco of Yonkers; 10 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Mullins; daughter, Margaret Spinella; brothers, Frank and John D'Amato; sister, Else Korchma; and son-in-law, Joseph DiLonardo.

Calling hours are Wednesday, Jan. 8 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 9 at St. Martin de Porres Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Yonkers.
