Westchester Teens Participate In J-Serve 2016

More than 100 Jewish teens from Westchester County will participate in J-Serve, the International Day of Jewish Youth Service on April 17.

“It is important for people to come together in an atmosphere that is fun and inviting in order to promote the importance of healthy living," said Ethan Afran, J-Teen Leadership, J-Serve co-chair. "We are creating a festive and relaxed environment in order to connect in small caring groups.”

The teens will participate in the Wealth of Health carnival event at the Eugenio Maria de Hostos Microsociety School in Yonkers from 1 to 3 p.m.

Wealth of Health will promote healthy, happy and nutritious households with an afternoon of interactive activities for elementary students and their families

Westchester J-Serve is sponsored by the teen-led community service program J-Teen Leadership and JCY-Westchester Community Partners.

More than 10,000 Jewish teens from across North America, Europe and Israel are expected to participate in J-Serve 2016.
