Woman's Body Found Floating In Hudson River A woman's body was discovered floating in the Hudson River. The unidentified woman was found in Dutchess County around 10 a.m., Monday, April 10 near the Mid-Hudson Bridge and the city of Poughkeepsie. Sheriff's deputies responded to the area after receiving a report of a possible body in the river near the Mid-Hudson Bridge, said Capt. John Watterson, of the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office. Hudson Valley Mom Charged With Letting Son, 10, Get 'Real' Tattoo, Police Say A Hudson Valley mom has been charged with allegedly allowing her 10-year-old son to get a permanent tattoo. Ulster County resident Crystal Thomas, age 33, of Highland, was arrested on Tuesday, Oct. 4, said the town of Lloyd Police. According to Chief James Janso, of the town of Lloyd, Thomas allowed her juvenile child to get a large permanent ink tattoo on his body at a hotel in Lloyd. State law prohibits anyone under the age of 18 from getting a tattoo, regardless of parental consent. Thomas was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and released on an appearance …

Flowers Are Being Stolen From Graves At Cemetery In Hudson Valley, Police Say Authorities are investigating numerous reports of flowers being stolen from a cemetery in the Hudson Valley. In Ulster County, Town of Lloyd Police said  there have been over a half dozen reports of flowers being stolen from graves at Highland Cemetery, located on Vineyard Avenue. “Lloyd Police has been in contact with the Highland Cemetery Association and the families to let them know the police department will do everything possible to find those responsible for these deplorable acts and hold them accountable,” the department said in a statement. Police Searching For Man Who Jumped From Bridge In Hudson Valley Police in the area are searching for a man who jumped off a bridge in the Hudson Valley The incident took place at around 11 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 13 at the span of the Mid-Hudson Bridge in Ulster County. Scarsdale Man Accused Of Stealing Produce From Upstate Pick-Your-Own Farm A 60-year-old Westchester man was arrested for stealing produce from a popular pick-your-own farm in Ulster County. Louis Balbona of Scarsdale was arrested Tuesday, Oct. 9, and charged with petit larceny after allegedly stealing more than $130 in produce from Dubois Farms in Highland, said Town of Lloyd Police Lt. James Janso. Balbona was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 16.

Suicidal Man Holding Onto Walkway Over Hudson Railing Pulled To Safety In a dramatic rescue, a distraught man who had climbed over the Walkway Over the Hudson and was dangling over the water clinging to a railing was pulled to safety by City of Poughkeepsie police, and a firefighter.
