Leo P. Masterson of Cross River, who worked as Comptroller and Deputy Town Supervisor for the town of Lewisboro, died on Thursday, Aug. 24 at the age of 66 after an 11-month battle with peritoneal mesothelioma, according to his obituary.

A storm with heavy wind gusts moving through the region has left thousands without power in Westchester County.
Around 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 30, Con Edison reported 4,122 customers having outages across the county.
Communities with the largest amount of customers left in the dark include Mamaroneck and Harrison (970), Yonkers (727), North Castle (297), and Mount Kisco (189).

Ice Cream Shop In Westchester County To Reopen
A Northern Westchester ice cream shop that had exclusively open for curbside pickup is now fully reopening to the public.
Bluebird Homemade Ice Cream, located in Cross River at 19 North Salem Road, will reopen for indoor eating on Wednesday, Nov. 2, according to a post from the shop.
The shop has been fully closed since Monday, Oct. 17, according to a post.
The store sells homemade ice cream in addition to baked goods like cookies, brownies, cakes, and tarts, as well as coffee, according to the shop's website.

A lifelong Hudson Valley resident who was a beloved high school coach, and teacher, as well as the chief of a local fire department, and a standout college athlete in Connecticut, has died.
Northern Westchester resident Michael Repp, of Somers and formerly of Katonah, died on Wednesday, Oct. 6 at age 82 at Northern Westchester Hospital in Mount Kisco.

Education Fund Started For Son Of Ex-Westchester Resident Killed In Crash
Frends and family of a man who grew up in Northern Westchester and was an attorney in Fairfield County and one of three victims in a fatal plane crash have started an education fund for his son.
Richard Terbrusch, 53, of Ridgefield, was killed Saturday, Oct. 13 in a plane crash along with two other people, including the pilot Munidat "Raj" Persaud, the owner of a Danbury flight training company, and Dr. Jennifer Landrum, a teacher at Thomson High School in Georgia.
