WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- The third winter storm of the week resulted in school closures, accidents and a slippery morning commute in the area on Thursday morning.

A total of 3 to 6 inches of snowfall is expected during the day Thursday and a winter weather advisory is in effect until 7 p.m.
Many secondary roads are in poor condition throughout the area, particularly in southern Westchester.

An accident on the southbound Taconic State Parkway, reported at 7:40 a.m., caused delays at Lakeview Avenue in Valhalla.
