Car Becomes Entangled In Power Lines After Crash In Westchester, Causes Multi-Day Repair A crash caused quite a complex scene at a Westchester intersection after a vehicle became entangled in utility poles and power lines, police said. The crash happened on Friday, Feb. 2 around 10:30 p.m., when a vehicle lost control at the intersection of Cook, Mile Square, and Homewood Avenues in Yonkers, according to Yonkers Police.  Arriving officers and first responders found that the car had struck a pair of utility poles before landing on its side in the intersection, causing wires and one of the poles to fall on the vehicle.  The driver was able to get out of the car be…

Greenburgh Roadway Remains Closed For Replacement Of Downed Utility Poles Town of Greenburgh police are advising drivers that Pipeline Drive is temporarily closed while repairs are made to two utility poles. The poles were damaged on Tuesday, Nov. 12, during a crash by a Town of Greenburgh vehicle. The road reopened for the evening rush hour, but was closed again Wednesday, Nov. 13 as Con Ed resumed work. Car Crashes Into Utility Pole In Westchester, Closing Busy Roadway A busy Westchester roadway was temporarily shut down late on Sunday night after a car went skidding through the snow and slammed into a utility pole. Police in Rye Brook were forced to shut down Lincoln Avenue near the intersection of Talcott Road when a driver lost control on the snowy roadway and struck the pole, sending live wires across the road.
