The 64th Annual Yonkers St. Patrick’s Day Parade is scheduled for Saturday, March 23 on McLean Avenue. This year’s parade marks the sixth since the merging of the Yonkers St. Patrick’s Day Parade with the McLean Avenue Merchant’s Association St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Last year’s parade had between 25,000 to 30,000 attendees, according to an estimate from the board. Grand Marshal Named For 22nd White Plains St. Patrick's Day Parade Archbishop Stepinac High School alumnus and business leader Jim Scully has officially been named as the Grand Marshal for the 22nd annual White Plains St. Patrick’s Day Parade. The parade is scheduled for Saturday, March 9 and aims to “celebrate the contributions of the history, culture and contributions of the Irish.” It will begin with an invocation by the President of Archbishop Stepinac High School, Rev. Metro-North Issues St. Patrick’s Day Booze Ban Irish eyes will be smiling throughout the area during St. Patrick’s Day on Saturday, though not as much on any Metro-North Railroad lines, where booze is banned on one of the busiest drinking days of the year. Alcohol will be banned on St. Patrick’s Day, Metro-North announced this week, marking one of the few days of the year where they prohibit consumption of alcohol, including New Year’s Eve and SantaCon in December. “Alcoholic beverages will not be permitted on trains, platforms, or stations,” according to Metro-North. “Any alcoholic beverage observed or found will be confiscated by MTA …
