The crash took place around 7:48 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 7, when a boat being towed by a U-Haul box truck broke loose and smashed into a utility pole, said Ardsley Police Lt. Carl Calabrese. The driver left the scene, but witnesses were able to tell police that the boat was being towed by the U-Haul truck, Calabrese said. The driver, or the truck, has not been located, yet, he added. Bucket Truck Leakes Fuel In Three-Vehicle Ardsley Crash A three-vehicle crash closed down a major roadway and required hazmat officials for a fuel spill late Thursday morning in Westchester. The crash, that included a bucket truck that overturned, occurred around 10:11 a.m. Dec. 27 Thursday on Saw Mill River Road in Ardsley, Ardsley Police said. The truck leaked about 50 gallons of fuel that has been cleared.   Ardsley police said there were no major injuries and the roadway has reopened.
