The drills, which will be conducted by the City of Rye Police Department, will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 8, Wednesday, Aug. 9, and Thursday, Aug. 10 at the Rye High School/Middle School building at 3 Parsons St., the department announced. Police said that the threat was announced at approximately 11 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 14, prompting an evacuation as officers took emergency measures. The area around City Hall was shut down. Ossining School Lockdown Lifted An early morning lockdown at Ossining High School has been lifted after police performed a sweep of the premises, according to the Ossining Police Department. The lockdown took place around 9 a.m. Friday at the school at 29 S. Highland Ave., for an unspecified threat. Police responded within minutes and searched the building before lifting the lockdown.
