A fallen telephone pole is causing authorities to divert traffic from a busy main road in Northern Westchester. South Bedford Road (Route 172) in Mount Kisco was closed to traffic on Tuesday, May 16 because of low-hanging power lines caused by the fallen pole, Westchester County Police announced around 4 p.m. The pole fell in the area of the Northern Westchester Professional Park located at 103-105 South Bedford Road. Officials Announce Upcoming 2-Week Road Closure In Westchester County
State officials issued an alert about an upcoming two-week-long road closure in Northern Westchester. Route 128 is set to close between Sands Mill Road and Wampus Lakes Drive in North Castle beginning at 9 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 19, the New York State Department of Transportation announced. The road closure, which is being implemented to facilitate a culvert replacement, will last through Monday, Oct. 3, officials said. Car Plows Into Westchester Store
A car plowed through a Northern Westchester store, injuring three. The incident took place around 1 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 4, in Bedford Hills at the Brew & Co. at 532 N. Bedford Road (Route 117), said Sgt. Patricia McGraw with the Bedford Police Department. An elderly driver became confused and drove into the store, according to McGraw.
