4 Nabbed For DWI In Hudson Valley: Wrong-Way Driving, Mailbox Damage Among Offenses, Police Say
Four people, including Westchester and Fairfield County residents, face various charges after they were caught driving while intoxicated in the Hudson Valley, police said.
The arrests all happened in Putnam County over both Saturday, Aug. 19, and Sunday, Aug. 20, the Putnam County Sheriff's Office announced on Tuesday, Aug. 22.

Two ex-lovers are facing charges after attacking each other in a Hudson Valley incident that kept escalating in violence as it went on, police said.
The incident happened on Thursday, Jan. 26, around 11:50 p.m., when officers in Putnam County responded to a parking lot of a closed business in Philipstown on Route 9, according to the Putnam County Sheriff's Office.

Trio Nabbed In Hudson Valley For Stealing Mail, Checks, Credit Cards: Police
Three suspects have been charged with stealing mail out of mailboxes in the Hudson Valley, as well as possessing stolen checks and credit cards, police said.
On Thursday, Dec. 1, just after midnight, police were contacted by a resident who spotted a suspicious vehicle stealing mail in Carmel in the area of West Lake Boulevard (Route 33), according to Carmel Police.
Police were then able to locate the vehicle in Mahopac on Route 6N and pulled the vehicle over. Inside, police identified the driver and two passengers as:

Man Accused Of Making, Selling Guns From Home In Hudson Valley
A Hudson Valley man has been arrested following a months-long investigation into the alleged manufacture, sale, and possession of illegal firearms.
David Goldberg Jr., age 23, of Carmel, was arrested on Tuesday, Dec. 2, following a warrant search of his residence, Putnam County Sheriff Robert Langley Jr., said.

Westchester Man With Suspended License Caught With Ecstasy, Police Say
An 22-year-old Northern Westchester man with a suspended license is facing charges after he was caught with ecstasy in Putnam, according to the Putnam Sheriff.
Members of the Putnam Sheriff’s Department Narcotics Enforcement Unit (NEU) say they observed a driver commit a traffic violation in the Town of Putnam Valley on Thursday, July 11.
Further investigation revealed that the driver, identified as Paul Andrew Smith, of Ossining, and the passenger, identified as Michelle Rush, 20, of Penfield, were in possession of marijuana, according to NEU members.

Roommates Arrested After Dispute Gets Physical, Sheriff Says
A pair of roommates are facing charges after an incident between the two turned physical in Kent.
Members of the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a residence in Kent at approximately 1:20 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 5.
Three Sheriff Deputies responded to the scene, and their investigation led to the arrests of Victor Briccetti, 54, and Daniel Cutler, 46, both Kent residents. Briccetti was charged with third-degree assault, a misdemeanor, and Cutler was charged with harassment, a violation.
