One of two murder victims whose dismembered remains were found strewn across Long Island has numerous ties to the Hudson Valley. Suffolk County Police said the severed remains of Donna Conneely, age 59, were discovered Thursday, Feb. 29, at Babylon’s Southards Pond Park. Student Hospitalized After Altercation Breaks Out Following HS Football Game In Westchester
One student was hospitalized after an altercation broke out following a varsity football game in Westchester. The incident happened at Port Chester High School, which hosted Poughkeepsie High School on Saturday afternoon, Oct. 21. According to authorities, officers from the Port Chester and Rye Brook police departments were able to separate the parties involved and restore order. High School Student In Hudson Valley Injured In Shooting
Police are investigating a shooting that injured a high school student in the Hudson Valley. It happened in the city of Poughkeepsie on Thursday, May 19 around 2:55 p.m. on Church Street. Responding officers located a 17-year-old victim who had been shot in the arm, said Det. Lt. Matt Clark, of the city of Poughkeepsie Police Department. Gunshots fired outside a Hudson Valley high school forced an area school district to cancel classes and parent-teacher conferences, district officials announced. At approximately 3 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 15, there were reports of shots fired in Dutchess County outside of the Poughkeepsie High School on Forbus Street. A 28-year-old former high school football player was killed while helping victims of a crash on the Cross Bronx Expressway. Jaquan Cesar, a Beacon resident and Poughkeepsie High School graduate, was killed around 1:15 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 11, at the scene of a multiple-vehicle crash on the expressway near Webster Avenue, said the NYPD.
