Michael Vazquez, of Yorktown, was arrested around 2:40 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 18, after he was spotted driving erratically by an off duty officer who reported the incident, the Yorktown Police said. During the stop on East Main Street, an investigation revealed Vazquez was allegedly driving under the influence of drugs, police said. Man, Woman Face Separate Charges After Route 22 Stop A man and woman of Brewster are both facing charges following a traffic stop initiated by a Putnam County Deputy Sheriff. The deputy sheriff pulled over a vehicle on Route 22 in Patterson that allegedly committed a traffic violation Tuesday, Nov. 20. Upon further inspection, the deputy learned that the vehicle’s driver, 40-year-old John Covias, had a suspended license in addition to two active warrants out from the Duchess County Sheriff’s Office.
