Wrong-Way Driver Killed, Two Teens Seriously Injured On Route 304: Police (Update) A head-on collision caused by a wrong-way driver on Route 304 in New City left one man dead and two teenagers seriously injured on Monday, Dec. 23, Clarkstown Police reported. At approximately 9:15 p.m., officers responded to the scene near the intersection of Route 304 and Second Street. Preliminary investigations revealed that a 35-year-old man from Ohio, driving a 2010 black Hyundai sedan, was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes when he collided head-on with a 2013 silver BMW. The BMW was occupied by an 18-year-old male driver and a 16-year-old female passenger, police said. …

Car Of Speeding Driver Crushed By 2 Tractor-Trailers On I-87, Police Say (Update) A speeding driver escaped serious injury, but not traffic citations, after police say he caused a crash involving two tractor-trailers Tuesday morning, Dec. 3 on I-87 in Rockland County. Joseph T. Bonomi of Washingtonville, was cited for speeding and moving from the lane unsafely, and treated at Westchester Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries following the crash in the southbound lanes in Hillburn, State Police said.
