Man Dies After Attempted Armed Robbery In Westchester, Police Say A 23-year-old man died after attempting to rob someone at gunpoint during an otherwise benign planned transaction in Northern Westchester, police said. Officers from the Ossining Police Department received a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle at approximately 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 6 around James Street, prompting an investigation. Police said that upon arrival, officers found what appeared to be the scene of a collision, though there was no car or downed pedestrian in the area. Ossining Man Sentenced For Role In Fatal Stabbing Of 21-Year-Old A 20-year-old man will spend more than a decade behind bars after pleading guilty to manslaughter for the stabbing death of a 21-year-old Westchester high school graduate last year over clothes. 21-Year-Old Fatally Stabbed During Dispute In Ossining A 21-year-old Ossining High School graduate died after being stabbed during an altercation. Greg Jackson, Jr. was stabbed on Monday, Jan. 28 during an incident on James Street in Ossining. He was transported to Westchester Medical Center and died on Friday, Feb. 1.
